Santa day at the Arctic Circle
Did you know that Santa lives in Korvatunturi – a fell located in Northern Finland? We are proud to invite you to come and greet him in the authentic, wintery surroundings in Napapiiri, the Arctic Circle.
The sun rises late and the sky is glowing in the shades of pink and blue, and under your feet the white, glimmering, snow squeaks. The gentle, patient reindeers are waiting for the go ahead to take you for a ride through the magical, frozen landscape. Afterwards you can feed the reindeer, play with our huskies and enjoy the tasty lunch that is prepared from local ingredients.
As the evening is darkening, we will cross the Arctic Circle by walking with torches, and finally meet Santa in his little cottage in the woods. Our guide will take a photo of you with Santa and sign your Napapiiri-diploma, showing that you have crossed Arctic Circle, so you will get a lasting memory of the meeting!
After the exciting day outdoors, we relax in the fireplace lounge and roast locally produced marshmallows while enjoying a glass of hot glögi, a traditional, spicy winter drink. We also decorate gingerbread and hang them in the Christmas tree.
